The Madison Mustangs participated in The American Cancer Society (ACS) Run-Walk this past Spring. The Mustangs helped raise over $400 dollars through donations of the participants. The Mustangs goal for next year will be $1000. We all had a wonderful time spending time with eachother and the people of Madison running and walking for a great cause. | The Madison Mustangs visited Madison Metro School District's (MMSD) Lincoln Elementary this Winter for their annual Teachers vs. 5th Graders Basketball Game. Mustang players made appereances in the game, visited with students, handed out Mustang items, and signed autographs. This off-season the Mustangs organization plans to visit more schools in Madison and it's surrounding areas. The Madison Mustangs visited the American Family Children's Hospital this Spring. We visited with patients in common areas and in personal rooms. We handed out mini-mustang footballs talked, and enjoyed laughing with children that had every reason to be down but weren't. I hope we gave to them as much joy and inspriation as they gave to us. The Madison Mustangs will team up with "Buckets for Hunger" to help them fight the battle against hunger. The Mustangs will be holding a game promotion during the season that will collect food and donate money to provide food to families in need.
