Mustangs Reach #1, Extend Streak to 29 Straight

Over the Fourth of July weekend, WISemiPro.com released their July Wisconsin Power Rankings, and the Madison Mustangs remain at #1.  The Mustangs have won 29 games in a row, including two undefeated seasons in 2008 and 2009, and have started this season 5-0.

The winning streak now puts Madison in the top 12 winning streaks of all time across the country.  They are tied with the Los Angeles Mustangs, who won 29 in a row from 1968-1971.  To reach #11, the Mustangs will need to win two more games, and the next chance will be this Saturday against the Milwaukee Storm at home.  Madison has also never lost a home game in their entire incarnation as the Mustangs, a record that dates back to 2007.
